Kathryn “Kat” Posos
Kat Posos grew up in Granite City, Illinois with her mom and older brother. In high school, she enjoyed sports including softball and basketball. After graduating from Granite City high school in 2005, she went on to further her education. In May of 2012, Kat graduated from Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois, with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and a Certificate of Proficiency in Criminal Justice. She then attended the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Sociology in 2016. Throughout her time in school, she worked as a server and bartender at a local grill.
In September 2019, Kat started a new chapter in her life by relocating to Florida and becoming a Misdemeanor Probation Officer. As a probation officer, she was responsible for overseeing probationers and ensuring they complied with court-ordered conditions. In May 2022, Kat joined the Law Offices of Shorstein and Lee as a Legal Assistant where she now plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys and clients through various legal processes. Her responsibilities include managing case files, preparing and filing legal documents, coordinating depositions, hearings and mediations, assisting with client communications, and more. She is a dedicated, hardworking and vital member of the Shorstein and Lee team.
Outside of her professional life, you can find Kat at the beach, working out or spending time with friends.
